Going to a Real Estate Investment Club meeting, What to take

When you finally find the real estate investment association or clubs you want to check out, you are ready for the next step:  preparing to attend.

Read the web site or call and find out where they meeting, what time to arrive, do they have pre or post meeting networking.  For example some groups might meet for a meal before the event or go out for drinks after the meeting for extra networking, you may want to plan to attend if you have time.

During the networking, do they have vendors with tables or a table where people can place flyers?  If so what are the rules regarding the tables or placing flyers?  How many people typically attend?  If there is a snow storm and the meeting is canceled, how do they get the word out?  Is there a way you can attend your first meeting for free or a discount?  How much does it cost to join?

No matter what the rules and regulations, you will definitely want to have business cards to take with you.  If you are a service provider that offers services that the average person may want, those business cards would probably be great.  You can drum up extra business at the meeting while you learn your way around. 

But if you don’t currently have a need for a business card, you will want to get your first real estate investor business card.  For your first one, if you don’t already know what you want to do in real estate investing, you may want to go with a cheap business card with basic contact information.

You can study up on what you want on a business card as you learn more about real estate investing and buy new ones as your needs change.

You may want to create a few flyers If you have already got your feet wet and have something to offer:

An investment property for sale
A private lending message
A real estate investing service you offer
Etc

Be sure to put your name and contact information on your flyer.  I tell you this because many new investors bring flyers of properties to our meetings and while the deal looks great, there is no contact information on it anywhere.  And usually it is a rule to have a name and contact info, not just a web site.

You will also want to get something to take notes.  You will want something small that does not take up a lot of room and a working pen to write with.  You will need this to take notes or write down info from people who don’t bring business cards.

Lastly, you may find you want to bring a friend.  It is always easier to approach new people in a group setting if there are two of you.  So if you have an interested friend attend together.  You may even find you can join as a team and save money.

An investment club is a great idea for running your own business. All investment clubs need to be registered with NAIC or the National Association of Investors Corporation. Setting up an investment club is really easy and doesn’t require you to expend much capital. Typically, an investment club has 10-15 members and each member is required to pay around $20-$50 per month as membership fee. Start up costs for an investment club can range from $400 to $800. But the profit or earnings that you can make from starting your own investment club are huge – from a modest $5000 to $20,000 annually with one club, $25,000 to $100,000+ annually if you own five clubs or more depending on the number of members you have!

What does an investment club do?

Investment club is a really a group of people who come together with the singular aim of learning how to invest in the stock market. Some prominent real estate developers have announced property projects there. Recently, realty giant DLF announced its Garden City Project near Panchkula. This project will spill over 200 acres. The company has claimed to occupy 34 acres and the rest is underway. This residential project would offer 2, 3 and 4 BHK apartments along services like school, club house etc. DLF had earlier built the IT Park in Chandigarh and is thinking of taking on more projects in the region.

Panchkula’s proximity to Chandigarh is its biggest assets. Panchkula is a novel business location for corporate houses and retailers who find it difficult to rent out commercial property in Chandigarh, owing to high rents there. It also offers decent residential options and is easily accessible from Chandigarh.

Property builders are very jubilant with the development there. Suresh Aggarwal, a property broker operating in Panchkula region, says that property segment has never witnessed this boom as it has in present times. He says that the buyer sentiment has changed in the region. Earlier, people bought a house for lodging purposes. Now, people buy flats, apartments or plots for investment purposes as well.

Pune real estate is brimming with activity like never before. The city is witnessing interesting and innovating trends in the property sector. From mass housing to integrated township, from high-rises to independent villas; almost everything is coming up simultaneously in the city.

Like Megapolis; the target users for this township are the software professionals. The users too are showing their interest in such concepts. Most of such townships offer in-built schools, gymnasiums, spas, hobby centres. This concept of integrated development appeals to many users. Many people are happy with the fact that they would have all possible facilities within the reachable distance.

Many real estate developers have launched miniature townships. Like Ahura Builders who have launched Pearl Tower with the theme of a ‘fun township’. Key Biscayne does not form a part of mainland America. It is an island off the coast of Florida. Its only connection with mainland is via Rickenbacker Causeway which was built way back in 1947. Remaining land was left for realtors to develop. And it was in 1951 that real estate development started in this area in its truest sense. It was in this year that Mackle Construction Company started building and selling new homes in this area for approximately ten thousand dollars.
